"Got a great night's sleep."
"Woke up before the alarm and went to CrossFit Central."
"Did 72 pullups with the blue band."
"Ate blueberries and milk and chicken and almonds for breakfast."
Carey did her own writing this morning. When I rolled into the gym, the whiteboard said:
Max reps:
pullups & chest press from med ball... HEAVY!!!
5 rounds
I used two 30-lb. dumbbells for the presses and the blue band for the pullups. My reps looked like this:
pullups / pressConsistency is my middle name, apparently. But what the devil happened in round 5!? It's like I was daydreaming on the pullup bar or something. I think I might have been mourning a little bit because we were originally supposed to do 5 rounds, but when the first person finished, Carey said, "Surprise! You're doing a bonus 6th round." Then she laughed maniacally, and I tried not to whimper.

When we finished that, we went to core. Everyone else was stretching, and I was still slogging through my med ball work:
8-lb. ball:The workout was tough, and I felt like my arms might fall off for most of the morning, now I'm just kinda feeling like I'm ready to eat a healthy dinner and go to bed. Is 7:00 p.m. too early for a grown-up to hit the hay?

This blog post from Carey makes me feel ever so much better. It's nice to know I'm not the only one that strays from the path 'cause it seems like fun, then muddles their way back with a sigh of relief.
7pm is absolutely not too early for bed! Your numbers were pretty awesome this morning, good job lady! I'm nervous what tomorrow's forearms will feel like...
ReplyDeleteI agree with Erika. You are always very consistent round after round.
