If you've been thinking about 'going paleo' or eat 'pretty well most of the time' and are ready to really lock-down your nutrition, Whole9 is giving you a hand.
My pals Melissa and Dallas are once again sponsoring a 30-day nutritional program designed to help readers learn how to eat. For real. Forever.
If you're ready, check it out.
I will not be partaking in the comprehensive 'no cheat' approach this time. But I've done it several times before, and it is very educational, sometimes difficult, and ultimately, empowering.
I can say with full confidence that I understand how to eat now. Which means I occasionally eat a piece of dark chocolate, snarf more than my fair share of tortilla chips, and drink a Norcal margarita now and then... but most of the time, high-quality protein, tons of veggies and fruit, and luscious, delicious, [oh-my-god-I-love-you-avocado] fats are on my plate and in my belly.
Try it! Give yourself 30 days to see how different you can feel.
i would like to make a coherent, enthusiastic comment about paleo eating, but i am beaten down by the 150 wall balls i tried (read: failed) to do yesterday. there's a way that physical pain is very.... depressing? why is that? i would like to exit this world of pain immediately. thank you.
ReplyDeleteI've always been curious about the 150 wall ball workout. Terrible, eh? Does it help if I say, "Pain is fear leaving the body?" Nah, I didn't think so. Water and rest and walking?
ReplyDeleteI just did 150 kb swings; can't say I'm a fan. But at least they're done :-)
I've been eating Paleo since last August, but have totally fallen off the bandwagon recently. With my best friend's wedding in six weeks, this is coming at the BEST time. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for posting, Mel. I'm ready to recommit!
Good on you, Mer! Think how great you'll feel drinking champagne and eating cake at the wedding if you eat clean 'til then. Awesome! Good luck!
