The Bear Complex

After sitting ALL DAY LONG yesterday, it felt great to move around this morning at CrossFit Women... although I was a little intimidated when I saw the WOD on the white board:

Bear Complex: 7 reps X 7 rounds

Not familiar with the Bear? It's a squat clean, into a thruster, into a back squat, into an overhead press. Like this:

Of course, I didn't look like that when I did it. But you get the idea...

I used 50 lbs. and it took me 17:41, I think. Then we did 50 around-the-world with an 8-lb. medicine ball.

For a while it felt like my arms might fall off, but they're still attached, which means I can go do my pushup workout now. On the schedule for column 2: 6-8-6-6-max (at least 7). Hold on... I'm going to go do them... be right back...

Dang! Pushup FAIL.

I just got a faceful of carpet on #8. Guess my arms are too noodley from my workout. I'll give it a go when I get home from the courthouse (!) and let y'all know what happened.

  1. I know I shouldn't laugh, but I did...faceful of carpet. That's funny stuff.

  2. I did my column 3 push ups a few minutes ago followed by 30-20-10 kettlebell swings (16kg). After correcting my form you were right, they are definately harder.

    12-12-10-10- *13(max).
