Our Lucky Day

Dave and I have been friends since 1991, and by 1992, we were in love.

One morning, on the subway in San Francisco, maybe around 1999 0r 2000, I said (at least we think it was me), "Hey! It would be fun to get married on 7/7/7. Lucky!" Somewhere along the line, that daydreamy statement became reality, and before we knew it, we were planning our wedding.

Neat!

Today is our second wedding anniversary. A lot has changed since 1992 – but the important stuff has stayed the same. Dave makes me laugh when I think I don't want to and supports me in just about every wacky idea I get into my noggin. He's kind, smart, wicked fun, and damn sexy.

See? July 7 is my lucky day.

We got married in our backyard. Pretty, right?

As part of the ceremony, I did a reading of the book I Like You.
About two-thirds of the way through, I was overwhelmed,
so Dave had to take over and finish the book for me.

I love my wedding ring a ridiculous amount.

This was our first private moment after the ceremony. So happy!

Cutting our amazingly delicious cake from Lucy's Cakes.
I ate cake every day for 11 days in a row. Yum.

  8. Holy cow! That's a lot of adventure for a day when normal people, like, go out to dinner or get flowers! :-)
