That's Fit: Secret Lives of Women

Chalk this up to the universe teaching me a lesson about being closed-minded. I wouldn't have voluntarily watched "Secret Lives of Women," but I got an advance screener of tonight's episode so I could write about it for That's Fit. And I was surprised. This installment is about three women who lost significant amounts of weight, and I have to say, it was a pretty good show.

It helps a lot that the three women are bright, motivated, and offer lots of good advice and motivation for other women to get started on their own healthy transformations.

I interviewed Jennifer Nicole Lee for my That's Fit piece, and she couldn't have been nicer or more gracious on the phone. Looking at all of the too-perfect-to-be-real photos on her web site, it would be easy to dismiss her as a fitness model babe and move on. But the TV show demonstrates that she works HARD. And she didn't lose 70+ pounds by magic – she had to have worked at it.

So to the universe, I say, I hear you. Thank you. Mind opened... at least until I needed to be reminded again.

To Jennifer Nicole Lee, I say, Good on you, girl. You look amazing, and you have the heart of a lion.

And to you, dear readers, I say, If you're going to watch an hour of TV tonight, Secret Lives of Women: Extreme Weight Loss isn't a bad time investment.

My That's Fit story includes a video clip and before/after photos of Jennifer Nicole Lee. Check it out!
