Salon Reviews IHOP Stackers

In case you don't follow me on Twitter (which you really should... look over there on the left...), I wanted to make sure you saw this. It's Salon's review of the new IHOP cream cheese-filled pancakes.

There's not much that scares me, but these things? Terrifying.

Please read this review and enjoy every lusciously disgusting description. The visceral reaction to the breakfast sausage is particularly, um... tasty.

IHOP's kinder, gentler novelty fat food:
Cheesecake-stuffed Pancake Stackers

  1. when these first came out, i did want to try a bite but after imagining what they would taste like, the enchantment quickly receded (thankfully). that being said, REAL CHEESECAKE sandwiched between REAL PANCAKES with REAL WHIPPED CREAM and REAL STRAWBERRIES would probably be fracking incredible. we should make our own version.

  2. I so don't want to squash your enthusiasm and agree that homemade would be better, but dude. That sounds gross.

I will, however, provide cooking advice and moral support if you want to try it. SCIENCE!

  4. I am now seriously considering almond flour blueberry pancakes and turkey bacon for dinner. I've had breakfast for dinner, like, three times this week. At 10:00 p.m. Shit is fucked up, dude.

  5. my god woman that sounds like a genius idea. if i had a band, we'd be named Breakfast For Dinner. 10pm is pretty late, but whatever, shit IS fucked up, i say go with it. it's not like you're eating Double Downs at 10pm.

  6. That made me wish I was drunk in Vegas, doubling down at the Blackjack table. Fuck pancakes. I'm going to Vegas.

  8. I would just like to to add that...my husband is in Vegas and...he, in fact, tried a "Double Down". He's been been playing blackjack and...is down, and...the "Double Down" was small and rubbery. We should feel happy that we're home. :) I'm just saying...

  9. I actually opted for steak on the grill last night. It was AWESOME, and I ate it like an animal while watching a British mystery. Not quite as indulgent as Vegas...

Jen, hope your husband's luck changes ;-)
