Penzeys Pilgrimage

I have a cabinet shelf that's completely obscured by stacked and precariously balanced jars, bags, and envelopes of whole spices, ground spices, dried herbs, and magical spice blends, almost all of which are from Penzeys Spices. And several of my previous blog posts are practically love letters to Penzeys... they even inspired the Run for the Peanut Butter Bars last August! (This year, the Run for the Peanut Butter bars will really be for Sunbutter and Almond Butter Bars, but more on that later....)

Despite my adoration for Penzeys, my nose and I have never been to a Penzeys store; all my ordering has been done online. Until today.

I'm going to the Dallas store! To the mecca of mace. The palace of paprika. The cathedral of cumin.

Mmmm.... cumin.
